Whether we're at Innsbrook feeding the catfish that come up near the beach, at the botanical gardens visiting the Coy, or looking in the tank at our favorite Chinese Restaurant Sesame, O is fascinated by fish. So, tonight we decided to take her (and Seamus) for a ride up to PetSmart and we let her pick out a Betta. She picked a really pretty reddish-blue one. On the way home, we were trying to pick a name for her new pet. Mike came up with Barry (White) and I said Bo (because he looks like a rainbow). Then we asked Olivia what she wanted to name her fish. Without hesitation, she said "Chi Chi!" So, that's his name.
When we got home, I let O hold Chi Chi in his little cup while we got his permanent home ready. That was a bad idea. At first she just held him and looked at him. Then she gave him a shake. I should have known. She tests everything by shaking it. Good thing Chi Chi comes with a 14 day warranty!
